Hastings College sees jump in most national ranking categories
HASTINGS, Neb. — Officials at Hastings College are pleased with the school’s spot in the latest national rankings.
The U.S. News & World Report ranked Hastings College 19th out of more than 80 Midwest colleges in its recently released Best College 2024 rankings. It also placed the school 11th in its Best Value category for the Midwest. The Best College ranking is a drop of five spots from last year and the Best Value ranking is a two-spot jump.
Washington Monthly does an assessment of four-year institutions that award almost exclusively bachelor’s degrees and that focus on arts and sciences rather than professional programs. It ranked Hastings College 48th in the nation, which is in the top 20% of the more than 240 schools on the list. The publication uses social mobility, research and promoting public service in its ranking system. The school’s ranking is a jump of 14 spots from last year.
“These rankings reflect our dedication to delivering an outstanding education that equips our students for successful careers and instills in them a profound sense of service and community engagement,” Hastings College President Dr. Rich Lloyd said in a news release. “Our faculty, staff and students consistently strive for excellence, and these rankings are a testament to their work and dedication.”
Hastings College welcomed its biggest incoming class in a decade in August.
