Leonard A. “Len” Grummert

Kearney resident Leonard A. “Len” Grummert, 77, passed away Monday, September 18, 2023, at CHI Health – Good Samaritan Hospital, Kearney, NE.
Memorial Services will be at 11 a.m. Friday, September 22, at Faith Lutheran Church in Hastings with Pastor Paul Dunbar officiating. Burial with military rites will be at 2:30 p.m. Friday, September 22, at Salem Lutheran Church Cemetery in Superior. A book signing will be 1-4 p.m. Thursday, September 21, at the funeral home, and one hour before the service at the church. Memorials may be given to the family for a memorial to be established at a later date. Condolences may be sent to the family at www.lbvfh.com. Livingston Butler Volland Funeral Home & Cremation Center is serving the family.
Len was born October 6, 1945, in Webber, KS to Herman and Anna (Aden) Grummert. He attended Superior High School in Superior, NE. Len served in the U.S. Army from March 1963 to February 1966.
Len worked as a pressman for KN Energy for many years along with a few other jobs until he retired in 2003. He was a member of Faith Lutheran Church and Disabled American Veterans. Len liked to play cards and could always tell a good joke. He loved spending time with his family.
Len was preceded in death by his parents; seven brothers; and three sisters.
