Texas man arrested near Aurora, almost 150 pounds of marijuana found
Almost 150 pounds of marijuana was found during a traffic stop near Aurora and a Texas man was arrested.
AURORA, Neb. -- Almost 150 pounds of marijuana was found during a traffic stop near Aurora and a Texas man was arrested.
The Nebraska State Patrol said a trooper saw a Dodge Ram driving on the shoulder of Interstate 80, near mile marker 332, near Aurora at 12:10 p.m. on Wednesday.
Officials said the Ram was pulling a U-Haul trailer. The trooper reported seeing a bag of marijuana inside of the Ram during a traffic stop.
According to authorities, they searched the vehicle and found several bags with 147 pounds of marijuana inside the trailer.
NSP said the driver was 48-year-old Renell Luckett, of Texas, and he was arrested for possession of marijuana – more than one pound and possession with intent to deliver. He was lodged in Hamilton County Jail.
