Lexington couple arrested on alleged threats over drug debt

GRAND ISLAND, Neb. -- A Lexington man and woman who reportedly threatened a Grand Island woman over a drug debt were arrested on Saturday.
28-year-old Manuel Corona Ramirez and 30-year-old Joette Romero Pantoja were arrested by Grand Island Police after making threats at a Grand Island woman over repayment of a drug debt.
Police said the two were found two blocks from the woman’s house and were carrying a firearm.
While in the process of jail booking, staff discovered multiple baggies of methamphetamine in Pantoja’s bra, which totaled nine grams.
Ramirez was arrested for terroristic threats and use of a weapon to commit a felony.
Pantoja was arrested for terroristic threats, possession of drug paraphernalia, possession with intent to distribute, possession of a firearm during the commission of a felony and possession of a firearm during drug transaction.
