LINCOLN — For the first time since 2013, the Pender Pendragons are in the girls state title game after topping the Guardian Angels Central Catholic Bluejays 54-41 in the C2 semifinal on Friday.

Maya Dolliver's 24 points paced Pender to a 31-7 first half lead before GACC, led by Isabel Hass' 11 points, went on an 11-0 2nd quarter run to cut the deficit to 31-18 at halftime.

The Pendragons turned up the defensive heat again in the 3rd, holding the Jays to just 7 points. GACC never closer than 11 points as Dolliver punctuated the 3rd with an NBA-range 3-pointer, and the Pender defense held serve in the 4th.

Pender faces Oakland-Craig Saturday in the C2 championship.
