Grand Island man sentenced to life for murder conviction

GRAND ISLAND, Neb. - A Grand Island man will spend the rest of his life in prison.

Hall County District Court Judge Patrick Lee sentenced Donald Anthony to life without parole for the stabbing death of Said Farah.

He also received up to 57 additional years for other charges, including use of a deadly weapon to commit a felony and terroristic threats he made against a Hall County Corrections officer.

 

Anthony was convicted in December after the jury found him guilty of the February 15, 2022 stabbing at an apartment at 303 South Pine St. Those charges were first degree murder, use of a deadly weapon to commit a felony and possession of a deadly weapon by a prohibited person.

Farah was found with a stab wound to his neck in a hallway at an apartment.
