ORLEANS, Neb. -- A man from Orleans was arrested after he evaded his parole supervision in March.
The Nebraska State Patrol said they learned that 40-year-old David Wengler, of Orleans, was living at a home in Orleans. Wengler reportedly evaded his discretionary parole in March 2022.
Officials said the NSP Swat Team used a search warrant at the home in the 300 block of S Maple St. on Tuesday. Wengler was taken into custody and lodged at the Phelps County Jail.
According to authorities, Wengler was on parole for second-degree assault, possession of a controlled substance, use of a firearm to commit a felony, and assault by a confined person.
