The City of Grand Island in process of updating Comprehensive Plan

GRAND ISLAND, Neb. - Comprehensive Development plans are being worked on for the city of Grand Island.

The comprehensive plan looks at how the city should grow over the next 20 years. A major part of developing that plan is gathering information from the public and businesses.

Community planner Mason Herrman hopes the community will make their voices heard and cooperate in making it a better place. 

“We hope people tell us  a lot of good things, but the bad things are also what we want to hear too, we want to know what should the city be looking at over the next 20 years, what should they be worry about, what should they be focusing on and what people want to see”. 

People will soon start seeing postcards around town where they can find more information about the plans. 

There was a meeting at Walnut school on Wednesday. Another meeting is scheduled for Thursday at Westridge Middle School.
