COZAD, Neb. -- Authorities said there was an accident Thursday night due to slower traffic.
The Nebraska State Patrol said that an accident happened at mile marker 215 on Interstate-80 around 6:00 p.m.
NSP said that a semi was heading east when they had slowed down because of slower traffic ahead of it. The semi was then rear-ended by the driver of a Chevrolet Trax, 52-year-old Lori Shrader-Keirnes of Cozad.
Authorities said that Schrader-Keirnes was pronounced dead at the scene. The driver of the semi was not injured.
