Two injured in Merrick County crash Sunday

Authorities said that two people were injured in a single-vehicle accident on Sunday.

Authorities said that two people were injured in a single-vehicle accident on Sunday. 

Merrick County Sheriff's Office said in a Facebook post, that deputies responded to Highway 92 and mile marker 384 for a one-vehicle accident on July 3. 

Officials said it was reported that the driver and passenger sustained injuries during the accident. 

The Sheriff's Office said the occupants were transported by ambulance to a local medical center and then to a trauma facility. 

It was reported that seatbelts were in use by the driver and not the passenger. 

Clarks Fire and Rescue Department and Polk Fire and Rescue Department responded. 

Citations were issued to the driver for several violations.
