KEARNEY, NE — The Nebraska Vietnam Veterans Reunion is looking for volunteers to help carry a banner in Saturday’s Patriotic Parade in Omaha.

The group has pledged to carry the banner of the USS Evans, a navy battleship that sank during the Vietnam War. The Sage brothers, a trio from Niobrara, all died on the ship. The NVVR is carrying the banner in the parade in honor of the brothers.
