LINCOLN — Several Central Nebraska students are earning statewide recognition for getting a perfect score on the ACT.

Gov. Pete Ricketts and the Nebraska Department of Education hosted a ceremony at the state capitol on Monday to honor Nebraska students who scored a 36 on the ACT.

“Achieving a top score on the ACT exam is an impressive feat,” said Gov. Ricketts.  “These top-performing students have dedicated themselves to academic excellence, and their hard work has paid off.  Thank you to the parents and teachers whose guidance has made their success possible.  To the students – congratulations!”

Kearney High was one of just four schools in the state to have multiple students register perfect scores. Here is the full list of students recognized:
