GRAND ISLAND, NE — A Grand Island man is in jail after police say he and his brother claimed they were the devil.

Police responded to the Kingswood Mobile Home Park just before noon on Friday for a report of a disturbance. The caller said two brothers were possibly on drugs or experiencing a mental issue that made them believe they were the devil.

Police say officers detained one brother while assessing the situation. The second brother tried attacking officers while the other was being escorted out of the home.

Officers arrested Alberto Navarro Hidalgo for third-degree assault of an officer.
