Superior man dies in Webster County crash

A south-central Nebraska man has died following a vehicle accident, Wednesday afternoon.

WEBSTER COUNTY, Neb.-- A south-central Nebraska man has died following a vehicle accident, Wednesday afternoon.

Authorities say that 23-year-old Juan Perez, of Superior, Nebraska was pronounced dead at the scene. 

The accident happened around 5:30 pm, on Highway 78. 

The Webster County Sheriff’s Department said that Perez was traveling southbound when he struck a semi that was heading northbound.

The semi-driver was unharmed during the incident. 

An investigation is ongoing, but the sheriff’s office doesn’t believe alcohol or drugs were a factor in the crash.
