GRAND ISLAND, Neb. (KSNB) - Grand Island Police are investigating two burglaries that may be related.

One reportedly happened sometime after 5 p.m. Tuesday at a construction site at 1937 Ellie Drive near State Street in west Grand Island. A soil compactor and a concrete saw were missing. Multiple construction companies are listed as victims.

Police said an employee of Jerry’s Sheet Metal also reported an attempted burglary from a storage unit near that job site. No one was able to get into the unit, but the lock was damaged.

Grand Island Police expect more reports because more than one construction company is working on the site.
