BEATRICE- State of Nebraska tracking information through the federal Centers for Disease Control and Prevention shows transmission of Covid-19 remains high in some parts of the Public Health Solutions Health District, made up of Saline, Gage, Jefferson, Thayer and Fillmore Counties. 

Health officials recommend wearing a mask in public, indoor settings...but that mask requirements vary from place to place.

Over the past week, there were 32 new cases of Covid-19 in Gage County, which had a test positivity rate of just under 14%.  There was a nearly 47% vaccination rate in the county among persons age 12 and older.  No new hospital admissions were reported in the past week.

In Saline County....there were 70 news cases in the past week.....a 33% positivity rate....and a roughly 56% vaccination rate for those 12 and above.  No new hospital admissions were reported.

In Jefferson County...there were 36 new cases and a positivity rate of 39%......with 59% of the population 12 and over, vaccinated. There was one new hospital admission.

In Thayer County....less than ten new cases were recorded in the past week....a 19.5% positivity rate...and 51% vaccination rate for those 12 and older..

In Fillmore County...there were less than ten new cases in past week....a 24% positivity rate on testing...and nearly 56% vaccination rate of those age 12 and older.

As of November 18th, there have been 66 deaths from Covid-19 in the Public Health Solutions District, since the pandemic began.
