Kimball man faces felony charge after reported domestic assault

KIMBALL, NE — A Kimball man is facing a felony assault charge after police responded to a reported domestic disturbance on Halloween.

KIMBALL, NE — A Kimball man is facing a felony assault charge after police responded to a reported felony assault on Halloween. 

Court records show 25-year-old Beau Hansel is facing felony assault by strangulation and misdemeanor domestic assault charges. 

According to an arrest affidavit, Kimball Police were called to the residence Sunday evening. 

Authorities say Hansel grabbed his girlfriend by the throat multiple times and pushed her into a wall. According to the affidavit, the victim lost consciousness. 

According to police, the victim had redness on her neck, marks on her left arm and near her right eye. She also had a large bump on the back of her head, a headache and complained her throat her when swallowing. 

Hansel has been ordered to have no contact of any kind with the victim during the case. His bond was set at $50,000

His next court appearance is scheduled for Wednesday, Nov. 10.
