Scottsbluff Wins Third Straight Golf District, Sidney's Larson Makes State

The Scottsbluff Girls Golf team took advantage of a picture perfect Fall day at Hillside Golf Course in Sidney on Monday to capture their third straight district title.

Sidney's Aubree Larson finished 10th to qualify for next week's state tournament

SIDNEY – The Scottsbluff Girls Golf team took advantage of a picture perfect Fall day at Hillside Golf Course in Sidney on Monday to capture their third straight district title. The Bearcats’ team total of 354 out distanced runner-up Gering by 61 shots. Ogallala won a tiebreaker over Chadron for the third place. The top three teams and the top ten individuals qualify to compete at the NSAA State Championships next Monday and Tuesday at Scotts Bluff Country Club.

Gering’s Emily Krzyzanowski shot a 71 and took home the individual medalist honors. Scottsbluff’s Anna Kelley (75), Nielli Heinold (81), and Shae Willats (89) took the next three individual spots while Ogallala’s Jessica Folchert (95) rounded out the top five finishers. Sidney’s Aubree Larson (99) qualified for next week’s state championships with a 10th place finish.
