Authorities in central Nebraska say they found a man dead after a camper fire.

The Lincoln County Sheriff's Office says fire crews responded to an area on West Park Road in Sutherland early Wednesday.

People reported a camper engulfed in flames.

Upon arrival, neighbors told deputies and firemen a man lived in the camper and was likely still in it.

After putting out the fire, crews found a body inside the camper.

State Fire Marshal was called in to investigate.

Preliminary investigation showed the most likely cause of the fire was a faulty appliance.

The case remains under investigation.
