LINCOLN, Neb. -- Authorities say a man tried to flee on a moped after burglarizing a Mexican restaurant.
Lincoln Police say a man entered the store on 27th Street Tuesday morning in Lincoln, cornered two employees and implied that he had a weapon. Employees ran from the man as he took money out of the register.
The suspect, 38-year-old Timothy Washington, was seen getting into the passenger seat of a car, which belonged to 33-year-old Kevin Tomlin.
Police found the two in a grocery story parking lot, and Washington reportedly tried to flee on a moped, and then on foot.
Tomlin was taken into custody without incident, and both were charged with robbery.
