In making his announcement, Albury noted that Gyhra recently was selected to represent the Peru State athletic department as its member on the Heart of America Athletic Conference (Heart) Association of Student Athletes (HASA).

Gyhra, a junior who participates on the Bobcat dance team, has been a member of the Peru Association of Student Athletes (PASA). Last spring, she was elected to serve as PASA's secretary/communication officer.

Reed, a senior who is also a member of PASA, was selected for his outstanding defensive game in Peru State's home opening win over Missouri Valley on August 31.

"Addison and Travis are good choices for the August Bobcat Athletes of the Month as they are good student-athletes who are utilizing their leadership skills on and off the field," stated Albury.
