PAPILLION, Neb. -- Proposing another tax cut, Papillion city officials are once again touting the lowest property tax rate in the Omaha area.

According to the new city budget, a 2% property tax cut is on the table.

It appears the tax cut is made possible in part because of more sales taxes coming into the city.

Officials tell us they are likely to see more than a 2% jump in sales tax revenue next year.

The metro suburb is planning to hire nine new full-timers and spend $2 million on street fix-ups.
