NORFOLK -- As the pandemic eases and people get back to the office, there have been national reports of shelters seeing many owners return their pets. While local Nebraska shelters tell NCN this hasn't affected them yet, there's always a need to find pets homes. That's why we will be starting to feature a Nebraska pet of the week every Tuesday.

We start with Lexus -- a one-year-old bluenose pitbull at the Animal Shelter of Northeast Nebraska in Norfolk.

Lexus was in a kill shelter out of Missouri, where she had a litter of pups while still just a pup herself until northeast took her in.

She is described as 'super sweet and loving toward all ages.

Because she needs attention, the shelter says she needs to be the only pet.

Schedule an appointment to meet her or other pets by calling the shelter.
