NORFOLK -- Gov. Pete Ricketts held town halls, Thursday, to speak on the 30x30 plan. At the Norfolk town hall, republican Jim Pillen also spoke.

Pillen is running for governor of Nebraska.

He expressed that there was nothing he agrees with in the 30 x 30 agenda to protect the environment.

"I think we know how to take care of our land," he said, expressing his belief that climate protection should not be a federal priority.

The 30x30 plan is an attempt to save the environment through partnerships, according to the Biden administration.

Ricketts' town halls will continue June 7.
