PAPILLION, NE - Beatrice baseball's second-round state tournament game will now start 30 minutes after the conclusion of the prior game instead of at 4:00 p.m.
The Nebraska School Activities Association made the change to a 'rolling schedule' for Monday games instead of set start times because of a rainy weather forecast. According to AccuWeather, there is at least a 40% chance of rain from 11:00-5:00 today.

The eight-seed Orangemen defeated number one Hastings 3-1 on Saturday for the program's second-ever state tournament win. Qwin Zabokrtsky tossed a complete game gem. The senior allowed just four hits and struck out six on the way to earning the win.
Beatrice generated all of its runs in the second inning. Tucker Timmerman collected the big hit with an RBI triple. Deegan Nelson and Jaxson Blackburn also knocked in runs.
Head Coach Chris Belding says it was important to get the lead early on.
"I think more than anything, we had to get some runs early, get the lead, get some confidence going," Belding said. "That gave (Zabokrtsky) some confidence on the mound. He had a run or two to play with."
Zane Hoffman will take the mound for the Orangemen today against five-seed Ralston. The teams played on April 29th and the Rams won 8-5.
"We're gonna have to score runs to win," Belding said. "Hopefully we do a lot like (Saturday). I think it would be big for us to go out and get a couple runs early."
