WILBER, NE — A southeast Nebraska tradition is coming back for 2021.

Organizers of the Wilber Czech Festival confirmed Thursday that the 60th annual tradition will happen this year. In a Facebook post, organizers said the festival, “just got the green light.”

The festival will be August 6-8 in Wilber, the official Czech Capital of Nebraska. The annual event features food, music and parades and draws thousands of people.

Organizers are hosting a kickoff event on April 11 from 4:00-8:00 PM at the Sokol Hall.

Last year, the Czech Festival was cancelled due to the pandemic.
