BEATRICE – A Marysville, Kansas hospital has been recognized with a 2021 Women’s Choice Award, denoting one of the country’s best hospitals for emergency care.

Community Memorial Healthcare was ranked in the top one percent of over 45-hundred hospitals that offer emergency care services.

The Women’s Choice Award uses criteria in the areas of clinical performance, patient satisfaction and appropriate accreditations.   Excellence is measured based on total time spent in the emergency department, time span from admission to a room….and percent of emergency patients who left without being seen.

CMH was one of 477 award recipients across the U.S. that met the highest standards for emergency care in the U.S., through the Women’s Choice Award. Said CMH Chief Executive Officer Curtis Hawkinson, “this recognition is validation of our commitment to our patients and their families.”

Community Memorial Healthcare was designated a Level-Four trauma center in 2013…the highest achievement level for a rural critical access hospital.  The non-profit hospital has over 200 employees and an outpatient clinic that provides a range of specialty services.
