NEBRASKA CITY- Members of the Nebraska City High School Speech Team competed at Millard North virtual speech meet on January 9th.
 
Ellie Higgins was the meet champion in oral interpretation of poetry and serious prose, and Ellie was the meet runner-up in humorous prose. Ellie won the triathlon award for the Millard North meet which goes to the individual with the most combined points scored from finals placings.
 
The Pioneers placed 6th place in the team sweepstakes for the Millard North meet with 71 points and the team champion was Norris High School with 178 points.
