Railroad track repair underway after train derails in Scottsbluff

Burlington Northern Sante Fe officials are investigating a train derailment in east Scottsbluff.

SCOTTSBLUFF - Burlington Northern Sante Fe officials are investigating a train derailment in east Scottsbluff.

At least four coal train cars came off the tracks at around 5:15 p.m. Thursday between 9th Ave. and Sugar Factor Road, BNSF spokesperson Courtney Wallace told KNEB News. None of the cars tipped over and no injuries were reported.

Traffic on the streets was not impacted by the incident.
