NORFOLK - A Northeast Nebraska church is looking into increased security after some reported suspicious activity.

Sacred Heart Church in Norfolk says in a statement Tuesday that over the last couple of weeks there have been suspicious encounters on the Church grounds in the evening and nighttime hours.

In addition, they announced the Church will be locked after the 5:30 P.M. Weekday Mass.

It will remain closed on the weekends since Masses are not scheduled there.

The Church is also looking into getting touchpad locks installed so parishioners can access the Church during locked times for prayer and meetings.
