Scottsbluff used a 5-0 run in the final :38 to clip Chadron 41-40 and deny the Lady Cardinals of a repeat Western Conference Tournament championship.

Chadron led 40-36 when Anna Kelley hit her 6th three pointer to pull the game within 40-39. After an empty Cardinal possession, Sabrina Harsh grabbed an offensive rebound and put in what would end up being the game winning shot with 6.8 seconds left.

Chadron did have an opportunity at a game winning shot, but a turnover occurred before a shot could ever be attempted.

Jaccey Garrett paced the Cards with 12-points a new career high. Just a night after setting a previous career high.

Scottsbluff and Chadron shared the lead throughout the entire contest with the Lady Cardinals holding the biggest advantage at 19-12 in the 2nd quarter, but the Bearcats ended the half on an 8-0 run for a 20-19 lead at the break.

Chadron came out in the third and quickly snagged a lead only to see Scottsbluff take it back again 31-29 heading to the 4th quarter.

Scottsbluff was aided by nine made three pointers.

Chadron is back home on Friday at the Bird Cage hosting Gordon-Rushville.
