LINCOLN, Neb. - Seward became the 19th Nebraska city to approve a mask mandate, with the city council voting to approve the ordinance Friday night.

The measure goes into effect Saturday at 10 a.m. Like most cities with similar ordinances, residents in Seward five years and older will be required to wear masks indoors. The measure includes schools.

Masks aren’t required for some things, such as sitting at a table in a restaurant and giving a socially distant public speech.
