Sidney's Mattie Johnson, Leyton's Madelyn Watchorn lead West to all-star match win

SCOTTSBLUFF, Neb. (KNEP) - The annual West Nebraska All Star Volleyball Game saw the West defeat the East in straight sets.

West All Stars came out of the gates strong behind Ogallala’s Jaedy Commins and Sidney’s Mattie Johnson in route to a 25-15 1st set West win.

Set two saw Johnson and Leyton’s Madelyn Watchorn lead the way in a West set two 25-17 win.

In set three East All Stars would stay close behind Maywood-Hayes Center’s Avery Johnson but in the end West earned the win 25-19.

The all star game plays five sets no matter the situation and despite that the West still put on the pressure and claimed the set 25-19.

Set five saw the East take in early lead only to see the West come from behind to win the set 16-14.
