DESHLER - A Deshler man is in custody after authorities say he threatened a group of people outside of a bar with a gun.

The Thayer County Sheriff's Office says deputies were called to the Deshler Bar on Monday night for a report of a man that had been involved in an altercation inside the bar, left and then returned with a firearm.

They say the suspect pointed a gun at three people outside the bar and threatened them.

Around an hour later, a sheriff's deputy found the suspect in his car at a gas station in Hebron.

Nebraska State troopers arrived to assist with a felony traffic stop.

The suspect, 59-year-old Robert Dankemeyer of Deshler was taken into custody on numerous weapons charges and three counts of terroristic threats.
