GRAND ISLAND - Today marks the first day that Division I programs can contact 2022 graduates and a Grand Island junior has already received offers from the state's two biggest basketball programs.

Grand Island Senior High's Isaac Traudt announced on twitter that he's been offered by both the University of Nebraska and Creighton University on Monday.

After averaging less than 2 points per game as a freshman, Traudt grew seven inches over the summer and posted 16.7 points, 6.2 rebounds, and 1.8 assists a game as a sophomore last season.

His contributions helped nearly propel the Islanders to their first state tournament appearance since 2010.

Traudt has additional Division I offers that include Wyoming, Northern Colorado, Idaho, Kansas State, South Dakota, and the University of Nebraska-Omaha.
