LINCOLN - Bars will be allowed to open in 89 Nebraska counties starting June 1.

Governor Pete Ricketts made the announcement on Thursday which in addition to bars includes bottle clubs and strip clubs.

"Twenty-five people or fifty-percent of their rated occupancy. Same rules as far as six-feet separation between tables," Ricketts explained. "Patrons will have to be seated at tables, you will not be able to consume food at the bar seating area."

Activities like pool, darts, and arcade games will still not be allowed in bars, and at strip clubs six feet must still be kept between dancers and patrons.

The four counties where bars must remain closed are Hall, Hamilton, Merrick, and Dakota.
