(Peru, Neb.) – The Peru State bowling coaching staff recently announced the signing of Michael Anderson from Centura Public School in Cairo. Anderson bowled for Ravenna High School.

Anderson is the son of Brenda Anderson and Craig Anderson. He plans to major in criminal justice while attending Peru State. In addition to his bowling scholarship, Anderson has received a Board of Trustees scholarship from the College.

In the Central Nebraska State Championship, the Ravenna Bowling team lost the opening round to Grand Island Northwest. They moved to the loser's bracket and lost their match against Hastings. Anderson averaged around a 165 per game this past year.

While in high school Anderson played football as well. During his junior year he was Third String All-District football player. He was a two-way linemen.

The Centura football team finished with a 6-4 overall record after making it to the Class C2 State playoffs. The Centurions lost to St. Paul in the first round.

Anderson is now the second confirmed new male bowler for Peru State for the 2020-21 academic year.
