CHEYENNE - Winter isn't going down without one last parting shot.

The National Weather Service has issued a winter storm warning for 10 panhandle and western Nebraska counties until Thursday evening.

Forecasters say to expect heavy snow...specifically anywhere from five to nine inches along with winds of 30 miles per hour.

Towns like Scottsbluff, Kimball, Sidney and Ogallala are expected to bear the brunt of this weather system.

The good news? The snow shouldn't be on the ground long. Western Nebraska is expected to see temps in the 60's this weekend and the 70's early next week.
