Two Cases of COVID-19 Hit Assisted Living Facility
A woman in her 90's and a man in his 70's have both tested positive.
An assisted living facility in Blair, Carter Place, has been hit with two confirmed cases of COVID-19.
A woman in her 90's and a man in his 70's have both tested positive.
According to the state health department, the woman is in self-isolation and the man is in the hospital.
A spokesman for the company, tells News Channel Nebraska they are working with state and local health departments and are following the CDC's Coronavirus measures including a ban on all non-essential visitors, no group activities, and an emphasis on infection control procedures.
According to the state health department, Carter Place is “aggressively responding to the situation and…investigations are underway to identify people who came into close contact to help prevent further spread.”
The company tells News Channel Nebraska that Carter Place is a small community but would not disclose how many residents are there.
