COLUMBUS - Platte County residents will only have limited access to county offices for the next few weeks.

Platte County officials announced Thursday that in an attempt to maintain the health of county employees, the Platte County Board has made the decision to limit public access to the Platte County Courthouse.

County officials say offices will remain staffed if and when possible and will be available to the public for necessary services. They say anyone who has business to conduct should call that office before coming to the courthouse.

Anyone who needs to drop off an item for any Platte County office can do so in the Platte County Treasurer's dropbox.

Platte County officials say they intend to reevaluate the situation on a continual basis and say they will go back to business as usual as soon as possible.
