OSMOND - Preliminary results show at voters in Osmond are saying no to nearly five million dollar school addition.

The unofficial results from the Pierce County Clerk show 218 voted for and 409 voted against bonds and tax to pay for the project.

The $4,800,000 project would have included include improvements and renovations for existing buildings, a new gym, new fitness centers and a commons area for Osmond Community Schools.

Opponents of the project have raised concerns over the project's price tag. School officials say the addition would help keep the school district competitive.

There are 839 total registered voters in the Osmond School District for a 75% voter turnout.
