One Person Injured in Collision Between Sport Utility Vehicles

Collision Wednesday morning at 12th and Market, injures one of the drivers

BEATRICE – Beatrice Fire and Rescue and Beatrice Police were sent to the scene of a two-vehicle collision Wednesday morning, at 12th and Market Streets. 

A southbound SUV had stopped at a sign, then pulled into the intersection, colliding with an eastbound SUV.   Police Officer Anthony Chisano said there were no serious injuries in the accident, which happened just before 8 a.m.

One of the motorists involved in the collision was taken to Beatrice Community Hospital for treatment of minor injuries.

Authorities briefly blocked the scene around the accident for debris cleanup and for tow trucks to remove both vehicles from the scene.

Both drivers were alone in their vehicles.  The identities of those involved were not immediately available.
