Veil announced as new UNL Dean of Journalism and Mass Communications

University of Nebraska Lincoln's College of Journalism and Mass Communications has a new Dean.

LINCOLN - University of Nebraska Lincoln's College of Journalism and Mass Communications has a new Dean.

The college made the announcement, naming Shari Veil as the new Dean, and saying she will also hold a faculty position in the college as a tenured full professor.

Veil will officially begin the role July 1st, pending approval by the University of Nebraska Board of Regents.

Veil comes to Nebraska from the University of Kentucky where she is an associate dean in the College of Communication and Information.

Amy Struthers will continue as interim dean of the college until July 1st.
