One hospitalized after Car Hits Tree

BROKEN BOW - A one-vehicle accident resulted in one injury just after 8 PM on Sunday, December 22. A black vehicle appeared to have been traveling east on South E St. in Broken Bow when it veered across the westbound lane, traveled up the embankment on the north side of the road, and crashed into a tree.

The damage to the vehicle was extensive and the Jaws of Life were required to free the driver. The driver was taken to Jennie M. Melham Memorial Medical Center with unknown injuries.

Broken Bow Fire and EMS responded to the scene along with the Broken Bow Police Department and Custer County Sheriff’s Office.

According to Captain Dan Hanson of the Broken Bow Police Department, the Custer County Sheriff’s Office will be in charge of the crash investigation, which is on-going.
