UPDATE: Explosive device thrown through window of Lincoln home

Lincoln Police say more than $2,000 in damage was caused after an explosive device was thrown threw the window of a Lincoln home and exploded on Tuesday.

LINCOLN - Lincoln Police say more than $2,000 in damage was caused after an explosive device was thrown threw the window of a Lincoln home and exploded on Tuesday.

In a news release authorities say the incident took place near 6th Street and West Saunders Avenue around 2 p.m Tuesday.

According to authorities, the suspect threw an M-Class explosive through the window of the home.

The device exploded and witnesses reported the blast shook nearby businesses.

Police are still looking for the suspect who fled from the area, and say the crime was not random.
