BEATRICE – Beatrice Police have cited an 18-year-old and two juveniles with vandalizing a parking garage in downtown Beatrice, owned by Pinnacle Bank.
Police are also investigating more recent vandalism reported over the weekend, at Kabo Bar and Sunrise Bakery, in the downtown area.

The vandalism at the high-park garage, Lieutenant Jay Murphy says, was reported December 9th. Walls in stairwells on multiple levels were spray-painted with graffiti.
"Pinnacle Bank had offered a reward for information leading to the arrest of any of the suspects, and we were inundated with calls on possible suspects. Pretty much, all of them had the same suspect which kind of led us to believe it was that particular person. We did have contact with him and....they did admit to doing the vandalism along with two other people".

Murphy says 18-year-old William Jaeger, of Beatrice was cited for criminal mischief, as were a 16-year-old female and a 14-year-old female.

Over the weekend on Sunday, vandalism was reported at Kabo Bar and Sunrise Bakery. Murphy says it happened during the overnight period, late Saturday or early Sunday morning.
"Kabo Bar is where we got the report from, and they had several doors and locks that had some type of glue sprayed on them. And then, we found out that Sunrise Bakery also had some damage....the same type of deal...some glue sprayed on the doors and locks".

A glue-like substance was also sprayed on the hood, windshield and drivers-side door of a pickup parked at the rear of the bakery.
Murphy added, "Kabo had suspected that there had been people up on the roof lately, because they had found some bottles and trash and so forth...broken, on the roof and in the alley".

No suspects have been identified in the more recent vandalism at the bar and the bakery, at this time.
