NORFOLK - The City of Norfolk has issued a snow emergency ahead of the expected winter storm over the next few days.
The National Weather Service has issued a Winter Storm Warning for Madison County from 6 a.m. Tuesday until 9 a.m. Wednesday.
Forecasted snowfall is expected to reach 5 to 9 inches.
The Snow Emergency is effective Tuesday beginning at 6 a.m. until further notice.
No parking is allowed and citations will be given on cul-de-sacs and emergency snow routes. This allows for more efficient snow removal by city crews.
