Two Teens Injured In Merrick County Accident

A rollover accident in Merrick County caused two teens to suffer injuries.

MERRICK COUNTY - A rollover accident in Merrick County caused two teens to suffer injuries.

The Merrick County Sheriff's Office says deputies were sent to Stolley Park Road on October 24th around 5:20 PM for a rollover accident. A westbound vehicle lost control and ran off the right side of the road, and rolled at least two times.

A 16-year-old male driver and a 14-year-old passenger were involved, and officials say no seat belts were in use. Both occupants were transported to St. Francis Medical Center, and the 14-year-old was later transferred to the University of Nebraska Medical Center due to injuries sustained in the accident.

Grand Island Rural Fire also assisted with the accident.
