The Peru State volleyball team did what they were expected to do Friday night and that was to sweep the home team – the Missouri Valley Vikings.
 
The 'Cats did just that by winning 25-23, 25-14, 25-21 to improve to 10-20 on the season and more importantly 6-7 in the Heart of America Athletic Conference (Heart). The Vikings, who are struggling this season, fell to 1-27 on the year and 0-13 in conference play.

Peru State outhit the Vikings .235 to .159 while having 11 more kills than Missouri Valley as they finished with 44.

Claire Cudney finished with a match-high 11 kills and 16 digs. Darlene Quinonez Holguin led the team with 16 assists.
