Lincoln Southwest, Kaitlyn Hanna Lead After Day One Of Class A State Golf

NORFOLK - The first day of the 2019 Class A Girls State Golf Tournament is complete, and Lincoln Southwest and Omaha Westside's Kaitlyn Hanna are your leaders through one round of play.
The Silver Hawks shot 325 as a team on Monday, and stand as your team leaders through round one. The Silver Hawks took home the state championship last year after shooting a 341 in the first round, as only first round scores were counted after the second round was rained out.
Rounding out the top five, North Platte is in second with a 333 team score, followed by Millard North at 337, Papillion-La Vista at 345, and Lincoln Pius X at 347. Teams standings the rest of the way are as follows: Omaha Westside (354), Kearney (369), Grand Island (372), Elkhorn South (373), Omaha Marian (377), Lincoln Southeast (388), Lincoln East (389).
As far as individual scores, Omaha Westside sophomore Kaitlyn Hanna is in the lead after shooting an even 72 in round one. Hanna was co-champion in 2018 after shooting a 76, and shared the state championship with Jalea Culliver of Omaha Marian.
Sydney Taake and Papillion-La Vista and Brynn Sundquist are tied for second after shooting 76, Kate Strickland of Lincoln Southwest is in fourth following a score of 77, and Karsen Morrison of North Platte and Katelyn Ruge of Millard North are tied for fifth after shooting 79.
